BRENDAN GUY

is a world-renowned innovator whose six-decade career has reshaped the fields of architecture, defense, and advanced vehicle design. His first-year tutor was Richard Buckminster Fuller at the Architectural Association School in London.  He won over a dozen international architectural competitions throughout the world.  His extensive broadcasting career began in the early 1960s for numerous radio stations and the BBC.   He partnered for ten years with Sir David Stirling, legendary founder of the SAS (Special Air Service), which led him to collaborate with US Navy Seals and other special forces for decades.  He was globally published by Corgi Books and Tokuma Shoten since 1981 having authored The Hunting of Salyut 7 (1981); Cruise (1982); and Perfect Pitch (1997).  His best-selling novels resulted in his being introduced to the movie industry as technical adviser and writer for such movies as Never Say Never Again, Life Force, Enemy Mine, Invaders from Mars, culminating in his role as technical advisor in Bob Skotak’s team which received the 1987 Academy Award for Special Visual Effects for Aliens.   

MATTHEW COLE

is a Texas born entrepreneur whose ancestry traces back to the 13th century of England and Europe including the Mayflower’s arrival in Plymouth.  His family has deep roots in farming, ranching, natural resources and real estate holdings.  Matthew holds a bachelor’s degree in Horticulture from Texas A&M University in addition to a master’s degree in Land Economics and Real Estate.  He has created and managed several small businesses involved in the real estate, medical device and credit card processing industries.  His movie career began in 2000 as the Executive Producer of a 13-minute short film titled Only If, which was selected for presentation at the London Short Film Festival.   He has been a business and creative partner to Brendan Guy for more than fifteen years in the development of books, movies, inventions and projects.  

VARUSHKA FRANCESCHI

Varushka grew up all over the world the daughter of a foreign service officer. As a child Varushka was fascinated by the arts and her artistic temperament was nurtured by her Italian painter mother who was a direct descendant of the Renaissance painter Piero Della Francesca. After studying in Paris at L’Ecole Jacques Lecoq, and completing a degree in Comparative Literature at the American University in Paris, Varushka went on to study and work in London as an actor. While in London she worked in Theater and TV, including being directed by Mike Bradwell at the Royal Court Theatre as well as starring in an Agatha Christie BBC series. She began her career in production, working as an assistant to Enzo Peri of Challenge Film Rome who specialized in European co-productions and while in Rome she worked on productions which featured such artists as Krzysztof Zanussi, Julian Sands and Ben Gazzara. After moving to New York, she continued her acting studies with Alan Langdon, the late Bobby Lewis (a mentor to Marlon Brando and Meryl Streep) and Elizabeth Kemp of the Actors’ Studio who she maintained a close relationship with until Ms. Kemp’s passing. Varushka has been a producer, co-director, and writer of several award winning short films as well as leading a series of scene-workshopping projects with a cast of actors from “The Actors Studio” in New York.
